To bind means, to fasten,to secure. Together means, united.
Niue was first inhabited more than one thousand years ago. Our ancestors came from Fonuagalo with their own unique cultural heritage and was nurtured and preserved into one society.
They used their many treasures to foster and nurture their livelihoods from generation to generation, year to year , season to season.
The same treasures were used to maintain relationships, the environment they live in including the knowledge they gained from those associations. The knowledge was shared amongst the people and woven together in the development of Niue to this very day.
The knowledge in arts and crafts, customs and traditions, heritage assets, history and Vagahau Niue should always be binded together in sustaining our livelihoods. Without these knowledge and treasures, we will be without a nation name, Niue.
Bind together our culture, our people, our livelihoods in sustaining Niue!
